2021 Virtual Races – April 17th thru 30th and June 26th thru July 3rd
Taking steps and making strides in the fight against child abuse!
We are gearing up for our annual Race(s) Against Child Abuse. These are all ages, all levels events! There are activities for the whole family to do together, walking buddies, 1st time runners and seasoned racers!
Please consider supporting the Amani Center’s mission by strapping on your tennis shoes and taking steps to make strides in ending child abuse. Race distances include: a Full Marathon, a Half Marathon, a 10K & a 5K, as well as a Family Friendly 1-Mile Fun Walk.
Normally the April race location is Columbia View Park in St. Helens, Oregon, held in conjunction with National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This year, since the race is virtual, you get to choose your favorite spot and even take up to 2 weeks to complete your distance (Marathon, anyone?). Just register HERE, join our Facebook Group for fun & engagement, and head out to help us Race Against Child Abuse.
The Race Against Child Abuse-North, normally held in Clatskanie, Oregon during Clatskanie Heritage Days, will be held virtually this year as well. You have a shorter time to complete your run, but the same opportunity to complete it over the course of about a week (June 26th thru July 3rd). If you have a chance to head out to Clatskanie, the dike and back country roads are beautiful locations for a countyside run. And the businesses in Clatskanie are eager to support your pre or post- run needs with food, drinks and shopping. Learn more about Clatskanie, Oregon HERE.
