Coloring Book Submissions

Coloring offers numerous benefits for individuals of all ages. The repetitive motion of coloring helps promote relaxation by the release of endorphins which are natural mood boosters, in addition to many other therapeutic benefits. During our forensic assessments, we always provide coloring materials to children, as it serves as a valuable tool for easing the stress of recounting traumatic experiences. This activity allows the Forensic Interviewer to engage with the child in a way that helps mitigate the emotional weight of reliving their worst experiences.

We are excited to share this practice with our community, hoping it can provide support and contribute to the overall well-being of everyone involved.

We are looking for artists to help us create a coloring book to celebrate 25 years of the Amani Center providing services in Columbia County. Staff at Amani Center will select the pieces that best embody Columbia County, Oregon and the positive messages we seek to share in our community.

This is a donation to Amani Center, you will receive a receipt for your donation regardless of selection.
